They abandoned it to die on their backyard
The small cocker spaniel barked in desperation,abandoned and tied up on the back yard in the center of Lefkas town behind the notary office.
The owners decided to go away for at least one week and not having anywhere to leave it they decided that this was the best way to take care of it. They didn’t even think of contacting us for help. We are a small society but our love for animals maybe could have saved it.
It died this morning, 24 January 2010, on a very cold morning after days of exhaustion.
Unfortunately, the intervention and the phone calls from the neighbors came to us too late.
WHEN WILL PEOPLE FINALLY UNDERSTAND THAN ANIMALS ARE NOT LIFELESS?
THEY ARE NOT CARS, THEY ARE NOT TABLES OR CHAIRS……
We wonder will the owners feel any sorrow for their pet?
Can they contemplate the nature of this crime?
